As winter approaches, thoughts can turn to cosy reads indoors. Here are some reading opportunities and resources:
- Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge 2024: F-10 Students are encouraged to join this Reading Challenge. It’s an opportunity to read more widely – to grow, explore and celebrate your reading. If you’d like to register please contact Karen Marston, School Librarian, VSV.
- YABBA (Young Australian Best Book Awards): This features the best reads, as chosen by Australian students in Primary and Years 7-9.
- #LoveOzYA: An absolute wealth of resources, insights and the latest news in young adult books by Australian authors.
- Book Week: 17-23 August 2024: Reading is Magic – The annual celebration of books and reading, hosted by the Children’s Book Council of Australia.
- VSV’s ePlatform: This fabulous and free library of ebooks and audiobooks has many titles to choose from and VSV reading lists to inspire your reading. Registration is easy; you can join online, with your VSV student number as your User ID.
