The fourth and final term of the school year is always frenetic.  With one eye on the future and one on the past it’s full of farewells, celebrations and plans for what will follow.

I’m very much looking forward to the events that are coming up over the next few weeks.  They are an important opportunity to celebrate and acknowledge the progress and achievements of our wonderful students.

The celebrations will take a range of forms and in a school such as ours this is as it should be.  The diversity of our students and community is the very fibre of VSV but can be almost invisible in a virtual school.  Celebrations and events help to make the invisible visible and that’s important.

As Robert Louis Stevenson said many years ago, “To be what we are, and to become what we are capable of becoming, that is the aim of life.”

Thank you for being a part of VSV in 2022.  I’m looking forward to seeing students and families in person at some of our events and online in others.  Either way I wish you all the very best for the upcoming holidays and for 2023.
