Parent Wellbeing

We know that supporting a learner at VSV can be both rewarding and demanding. So much of what you do happens quietly in the background: the check-ins, routines, reminders, patience, and encouragement that help your young person stay connected to their learning and wellbeing.

As Semester 1 ends, your young person’s teachers, school leaders and support teams want to acknowledge the care, time and energy you have given throughout the year so far.

As students take time to rest and reset over the winter break, we hope you also find moments to pause, recharge and look after your own wellbeing.

With this in mind, we are sharing a range of free programs, workshops and support services available to parents, carers and families through our community partners. These resources are there to support you, whether you are looking to better understand your child’s emotional needs, connect with other families, access disability advocacy and support, or find a space to share experiences with others.

We encourage you to explore the services provided consider what might be helpful for you and your family as you move into the second half of the school year alongside your learner.

Wishing you and your family a safe, restful and restorative winter break.

Warmly,
Jordan Anderson
