We recently held the VCE Subject Fair for our Year 10 students—a great success! The hybrid event encouraged students and their parents/carers to join us in person, where they could meet VCE teachers and the Senior School Leadership Team, explore subject options, and get practical support with careers, pathways, and subject selection.
As an online school, it’s a privilege to offer these face-to-face opportunities. They help strengthen social connections, encourage participation, and support every student to find the best pathway as they move into their senior school years.
We welcomed 36 students and 40 parents on-site in Thornbury, with a further 200 attendees online. Our virtual guests accessed the main presentation via livestream, which explained VCE, VCE VM, and the Senior School journey. A detailed subject guide handbook was also shared to help answer questions and support decision-making.
The Subject Fair was made possible by a hard-working team of staff, especially our Middle School Acting Leading Teacher, Laura Wong.
We thank our Careers Team—Melek, Louise and Blake—who bring a wealth of experience. Their role is to help students explore their future, connecting their strengths and interests with possible pathways. Their guidance gives students the confidence and direction they need to take their next steps beyond school.
