It is not too late to join the Premier’s Reading Challenge. It is open until early September, and students can include reading completed from the start of the year.

The Challenge encourages children and students to read a set number of books over the year and record their efforts online.

VSV School Librarian, Karen Marston, invites students to think of this initiative as a personal challenge to read more widely.

‘It’s a great opportunity for students to grow, explore and celebrate their reading,’ she enthused.

Karen urged those looking for reading inspiration to visit the Young Australian Best Book Awards.

She also suggested visiting VSV’s fabulous and free library of ebooks and audiobooks – ePlatform. A range of new titles are added monthly. Registration is easy as your VSV student number will be your user ID.

If you’d like to register for the challenge, please email Karen at [email protected]
