Virtual School Victoria’s LGBTQIA+ Club is a welcoming space for all students – whether you’re part of the LGBTQIA+ community, an ally, questioning, or unsure. The space is about inclusion, outreach, celebration, and empowerment of student members.
The close of February marks the end of Melbourne’s Midsumma Pride Festival. The main Pride event, the Pride March, was going to be the LGBTQIA+ club’s first in-person event. Unfortunately, due to potential COVID-19 risks to staff and students the event was cancelled.
The club will now be seeking members to contribute to an upcoming VSV Pride event in early Term 2. It is also looking at planning some events for International Day against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia as well as Wear It Purple day.
The LGBTQIA+ club meets weekly on Thursdays at 12pm.
If you’d like to learn more about the club and/or upcoming activities please email Student Voice, Agency, and Leadership at [email protected]
