Calling all parents and carers! Family and community partnerships at VSV 2019
My name is Chrissie McMahon, and I am the Leading Teacher for Community and Family Partnerships at VSV. Some of you may have met me at a Connect or Better Together Day at our offices. In my role, I support parent/carer engagement and promote school and family partnerships within the VSV community. If you have a comment, suggestion or a question that relates to community or partnership building at VSV, please feel free to contact me at any time.
Supporting students with virtual schooling can seem isolating, at times, for parents and carers. We know, at VSV, that parents and carers benefit from working together, sharing their experiences as supervisors, and being reminded that they are not alone in their journey. I am currently interested in hearing from any VSV parents/carers who would like to be involved in a VSV parent/carer group. The group will meet at VSV or online, to discuss supervision strategies, share experiences and make connections. If you are interested in meeting other VSV parents and carers, being consulted about VSV operations, and sharing strategies with other VSV parents, carers/supervisors, please contact me and I will add you to the mailing list.
