Connect Day at Myuna Farm
As the weather warms, our Connect Days provide another opportunity for Primary students to come together and experience learning beyond the virtual classroom. A visit to Myuna Farm will invite students to explore and share in the simple wonder of being together. We find these days, with the change of season and the opportunity for shared curiosity, can create some of the most meaningful and memorable moments for our students.
Grade 6 Graduation
For our Grade 6 students, the year also marks an important milestone as they prepare to graduate from Primary. Our hybrid graduation event brings students and families together both online and in person to recognise not only the completion of Grade 6, but how far each student has come. It is a chance to celebrate their learning, friendships, personal growth and the individual journey that has brought them to this point.
Primary → Middle Years Transition
While graduation marks the end of the Primary years, it is also the beginning of what comes next. At VSV, we place importance on making this transition a positive and supported experience. Our Primary-to-Middle Years transition program helps students become familiar with the next stage of their learning and develop greater independence as learners.
For families with younger children, Grade 6 may still feel a long way off. But the foundations being built throughout the Primary years are part of a much longer journey. By nurturing the whole student, we aim to help every learner feel prepared not just for the next year, but for the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead.
For now, the term break is a welcome opportunity to focus on rest in whatever way feels best for our Primary students – opportunity for play, getting outside, reading a book, or spending time with loved ones.
