The Australasian Association of Distance Education Schools (AADES) recently ran their bi-annual conference in Fremantle.
Sarah Dennis, VSV’s talented AgHort teacher, was nominated for a Teaching Excellence Award and VSV’s Connect Weeks were nominated for a Project Achievement Award.
While we didn’t take home the win, it was a wonderful acknowledgment of Sarah’s hard work and the resounding success of Connect Weeks.
Carly McDermott, Leading Teacher Engagement, facilitated a sold-out session on High Impact Engagement Strategies in the Online Context. She also co-presented a workshop with Adrienne Warner, Middle School Leader, on the success and learnings from Connects Weeks.
Adrienne commented how the conference provided a valuable opportunity to hear from other teachers and leaders at distance education schools and share VSV’s innovative practices.
VSV is represented on the AADES executive team by Assistant Principals Malcolm McIver and Martin Jorgensen.
